Alumni Gift of $10 Million to Provide Financial Aid
Trinity College has received a $10 million gift from former Trinity trustee and former Connecticut State Treasurer Francisco L. Borges ’74, H’20, his wife Luisa, and his four siblings to support financial aid for outstanding students who would not otherwise be able attend college.
The daylong event brought the community together to discuss the liberal arts experience, and to celebrate an alumnus who represents the "ideal of empowering humanity through the sciences.”
Reagan Flynn ’23 has received a prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Award to teach English in Argentina while serving as a cultural ambassador for the United States.
Trinity College has been named a Top Producing Institution of Fulbright U.S. Students for the 2023-24 academic year, when five recent graduates were awarded grants. The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international academic exchange program.
